“Make Sure My Children Know Who I AM”

“Make Sure My Children Know Who I AM” — A revelation received by Journey co-founder, Sharon Peterson:

I had a dream on January 30, 2019 that I was setting up for Easter at a house, and a man came in, and I drew close to him (in a relationship).

He left for a while and came back to the house where I was and he said, “I have to leave now and go to prison.”

I was heartbroken, and began to cry aloud saying, “No, I don’t want you to leave!”

My husband then came to me and said, “He left.” I said, “No! I didn’t get to say goodbye!”

My husband said, “He is on foot walking. We can catch up with him.”

In the distance, I saw him, and I ran towards him. When I reached him, I hugged him and said, “Please don’t leave.”

He said, “I must go,” and handed me an envelope and said, “Make sure that My children know who I AM.”

The vision of the man resembled someone ordinary, maybe poor; someone who didn’t fit into society.

As I put the details together in my mind, and what he looked like, it appeared to me that he may have been a humbled laborer.

At the end of the dream, Jesus identified Himself as He handed me the envelope of His last words, “Make sure My children know who I AM.”

When someone is dying, or leaving us, his or her last words are very important, down to their last Will on paper.

As the Great Commission, Jesus gave this command to His disciples shortly before He ascended into heaven:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV).

According to Merriam-Webster, a Will is a legal declaration of a person's wishes regarding the disposal of his or her property or estate after death.

As believers, we belong to Jesus Christ. As His heirs, we will receive the inheritance of eternal life through Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God.

The Great Commission reveals the instructions of Jesus' last Will and Testament to all who believe.

In reference to Jesus leaving to go to prison, His mission was to set the captives free. Jesus said,

"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free" (Luke 4:18 NIV).

The envelope that was handed to me was an invitation from Jesus to remind me, and all believers, of the Great Commission, and His final instructions for believers on earth.

Jesus has handed all believers an envelope as an invitation of His Will and Testament to become His messengers in spreading the Gospel.

As a Christian, I feel at times that we become complacent of carrying out Jesus' last words and His final command. Are you keeping God in a box? We are not to restrain the Almighty God, the Maker of the heavens and the earth and all of creation. As His creation, we were given a voice above all of His creatures on earth to speak, glorify and praise the Name above all names - JESUS.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes..." (Romans 1:16 NIV).

We, as people, make it so important to carry out a person's Last Will and Testament. Why not, as heirs of Christ, make it the highest importance to carry out the Will and command from Jesus, our Savior?

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 NIV).

Jesus Christ died once and for all for our sins to be forgiven. With Jesus Christ as the perfect and final sacrifice of our sins, we must willingly confess our sins to Jesus, through repentance. Ultimately, we must walk away from our sin and grow to love Jesus more than that sin by applying the Bible to our lives.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16 NIV).

As heirs of Christ, we must fulfill His last words and command, and continue making Jesus known to all of His children.

Will you join us in accepting this invitation to carry out Jesus' Will and Testament?
