TIDES i : Your Will, Not Mine, Lord

Decisive: settling an issue; producing a definite result.

Be decisive — resolute,; unfaltering,; unhesitating,; unquestioning,; unwavering ... so,; sure,; surely,; truly,; unarguably,; undeniably,; undoubtedly,; unquestionably,; doubtless

God desires His children to be decisive; unquestionably resolute; purposeful and determined.

God spoke to me tonight:

“I just want to know your heart.”

This revelation woke my spirit up and gave me a new light into uncovering my unseen heart before my Heavenly Father.  The infinite fact that God already sees our hearts despite our own willing submission brings assurance about what we do not see and acknowledge.  He desires us to reveal our hearts to Him.

God deeply cares about what His children desire. Even though His will prevails over our earthly wants and desires, this release from the heart enables us, as His children, to build a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father. Release to Him your passions, your cares, your premature decisions, your unresolved conflicts.  As a Father, He wants to hear from His children. Even if it’s in lament, wailing, and crying out.

Jesus did this in the Gethsemane before His death. He released what was in His heart and preceded with “‘Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.’” Mark 14:36 NIV

Even though Jesus knew God’s divine will, He exposed His heart to His Father. This uncloaked honesty and truth in coming forth to the Father is what the Lord desires. Raw, genuine conversation is an act of worship through releasing and submitting to His divine will.

To know what we want (with our eyes on Jesus), know where we are headed (in His ever-pleasing promised will) so that we can endure the test of of time through endurance and building up of faith.

Indecisiveness is the unfruitful seed to doubt, and if it’s continual, it leads to unfaithfulness through its deceit to remain inconstant.  Doubt is dangerous; as it seeks to bring fear and falsely accuse God of being a liar.  Instead of responding by reaction to what people or circumstances give to you, begin first by praying, seeking God’s presence, and awaiting His voice. If you are seeking answers to a decision, seek Christ. Jesus’ divine character is tried, true, faithful, trustworthy, unfaltering, constant.

”But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6 NIV

Make a decision and stand by it so that no blame or turmoil of making a mistake takes root. If you have released your desires to God and His ever pleasing will happens then you know that He is protecting you from your own will (that may cause and lead to destruction.) He has heard you. And your best interest is at His right hand. Trust Him and don’t look back at what could have been or what has already happened. Take your decisions to Him and let Him know the desires of your heart.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4 NIV

“May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms 20:4 NIV

If you have sought Christ in making a decision, stick with it until the end.  Do not let uncertainty excite your mind and bring forth doubt and disturbance. The enemy will use these distractions to take a stronghold of your mind. The enemy hates a secure and confident (assured) mind that is rooted in Christ leaving no cracks for his entry.  A mind that has prayed in every measure, made a solid decision and is moving forward in God’s will places insecurity in Satan’s attacks.

“So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:16 NIV

First and foremost. Accept God’s will be done once you have laid down your requests before the throne. God cannot be shaken. He is a God of truth and of action.

After releasing your desires to the Lord, say,

“I accept Your will, Lord.”
